Unbelieveable? A new record is set!
Ron Hornaday Jr. set a new record in the Camping World Truck Series by winning his 4th consecutive race at O’Reilly Raceway Park Friday night.

And once again, Hornaday had to hold off a late race charge from Mike Skinner to collect the checkers for his 44th Series career win and record breaking 4-in-a-row. “This is unbelievable,” he said in victory lane. “This just says what this team’s all about.”
Mike Skinner gave Hornaday a run during the closing laps of the race. Skinner was on newer tires after pitting much later than Hornaday’s stop. Both, Hornaday and Skinner dominated the night. They led a combined 128 of 200 laps in a race with 5 lead changes among 4 drivers.
“That one time, my left front tire was at his door, and I thought he had us,” Hornaday said as he recounted the final laps and his race against Skinner. “I just drove down in the corner, and I don’t know if he got loose getting in or whatever, but it rolled me back by him.”
It’s Hornaday’s 5th win and 11th top-10 finish this season.
There have been 5 drivers in series history to score 3 consecutive wins. A record Hornaday himself had accomplished in 1997 along with his nemesis Mike Skinner (1996 and 2007), Greg Biffle (2000), Todd Bodine (2005) and Johnny Benson (2008).
Aric Almirola finished 3rd followed by Dennis Setzer and polesitter Colin Braun -- rounding out the top 5.
