Weather Postpones Saturday’s Events at Talladega

“In the interest of fan safety, all activities scheduled at Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday have been postponed due to the significant threat of extended periods of severe weather. This decision was made based on advice from the National Weather Service and the Talladega County Emergency Management Agency. The National Weather Service has issued tornado, severe thunderstorm and flash flood warnings for all areas surrounding Talladega for much of the day.
Tomorrow’s “Race Day” forecast calls for a slight chance of rain during the morning with partly cloudy skies during the afternoon and a high expected of 79.
TV coverage of the Aarons 499 will begin at 1 tomorrow afternoon on FOX.
It’s the second week in a row the Nationwide Series has had to postponed a race. TV coverage of the Aarons 312 will begin at 5:30 on ESPN2.
