Was it a case of “hard racing” or did Carl Edwards intentionally wreck Brad Keselowski to win Saturday night’s race? It’s not the first time the two have had on-track shuffles.
Edwards: “I just couldn’t let him take the win from me. My guys work way too hard for that.”
Keselowski: “He turned left into me and wrecked me on purpose. I gave him the lane, and he still wrecked me.”
Edwards served a three-race probation after the following on-track incident this past March at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Keselowski: “To come back and just intentionally wreck someone, that’s not cool. He could have killed someone in the grandstands.”
Edwards: “I know Brad has made his career on being super-aggressive. We both had a part in it and it’s not his fault, but it’s just a little too aggressive overall, I think, for that early in the race and caused us to wreck.”
