NASCAR officially announced the 2011 Sprint Cup Series schedule on Wednesday. There weren’t many surprises other than Kentucky Speedway finally gains a Cup date!
“The adjustments and realignment of the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule will make for an exciting race season next year,” NASCAR Chairman and CEO Brian France said at the press conference held in Daytona Beach this past Wednesday afternoon. “The revised schedule provides better situated dates for the tracks, a more challenging lineup for the drivers and ultimately more intrigue for the fans.”

Just three races remain until the cut off for The Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. It will be a tricky weekend for some as the Sprint Cup Series heads to Thunder Valley for unarguably the biggest race on the current schedule outside of the Daytona 500 – “the night race at Bristol” Motor Speedway.
